This past Saturday we had beautiful weather and temperature for the beginning of January (low 60s). Since it was so nice outside my husband and I decided to take the kayak out for the afternoon. Usually we take our fishing gear, but this time we decided to take our cameras. We headed over to the waterfowl sanctuary by Reagan National Airport. This is a popular spot for observing wintering waterfowl. We’ve seen heron, eagles, red-winged blackbirds and mallards. We were hoping there would still be some wildlife to catch on camera and below you’ll see we lucked out.
