Summer fishing in Southwest Colorado

With a wedding-filled spring and eventful June, July nearly snuck up on us. For those that don’t know, July means the annual trip out to see our parents in Durango, Colorado.  It was an incredible trip, maybe the best yet, so full of fish, adventure and love.  We are truly blessed.  10 days straight of fishing everything from small high country streams with native/wild fish to swollen valley streams full of 16-18″ bruisers.  There were float tubes, wet-wading, backpacking and hiking.  The variety of fly fishing in southwest CO never ceases to amaze.  It doesn’t hurt to know a few locals, too. Many thanks to our hosts.  Everyone should be so lucky as to fish Colorado in the summer with loved ones.
